Our mission is to improve the lives of people in our community by advancing the adaptive riding industry (sometimes called therapeutic riding) through innovative technology and research.

FAQs

  • At this time we are focused on our therapeutic clients and are not offering public or private riding lessons. We hope to increase our herd size soon to offer this service!

  • While a doctor’s referral is not required, we work alongside your care team to create and implement a program tailored to your specific needs. We do require a physicians release for certain diagnoses.

  • Currently our hours vary based on programming. If you want to visit the farm or learn more, please email us at connect@lakelandctr.org - we would love to talk with you!

  • We rely on our many wonderful volunteers to operate our facility. If you would like to learn more, visit our volunteer page here!

  • No worries! We do an initial evaluation of every client to assess their skill and comfort level. We start with the basics so you can be comfortable and learn.
